The location in the heart of Orford made exploring a breeze-our trip to the historic Orford Castle, with its intriguing tales from King Henry II's era, was a highlight for the kids. The staff stood out with their cordiality and willingness to accommodate our needs, from recommending local sights to ensuring our comfort. The garden room we stayed in was spacious and had all the essentials. Breakfast was a communal experience, with a variety of options that everyone enjoyed, and the kids loved the ample space between tables, making it easy for them to be themselves. We also took a short trip to the Thorpeness Golf Club, where I snuck in a round while the family relaxed in the lovely surroundings. A good family getaway-one we'd gladly repeat.
